White lines disease is a bacteria that lives between the white line and the outer wall of the hoof. Once the hoof is infected with the white lines bacteria, it can travel all the way up the hoof wall. Often times in the advance cases of white lines disease it can wall itself off inside the hoof and do considerable damage before presenting itself. Most all of the white lines disease cases I have worked on have had a complete recovery. Note: It is very important to support the coffin bone if your re-section is on the front part of the hoof.
